We have made good progress with transitioning to the new style,
to the point where we can complete it with a final push.
Start with changing the remaining places that still use double
quotes.

There's a few things going on here, that unfortunately must
happen in lockstep:
- The gnome-desktop-3.0 dependency gets replaced by gnome-desktop-4
and gnome-bg-4. The code in ui/background.js required minor updates.
- The libnma dependency gets replaced by a libnma4 dependency. The
code in misc/modemManager.js required minor updates.
- The gtk3 dependency is torn down everywhere but tests. Some
missing GdkPixbuf dependencies had to be added to compensate for
its lack.
- gtk_init_check() is no longer called
As a result, we replace a hard gtk3 dependency with a soft gtk4
run-time linking one, only added indirectly through gnome-bg-4
and libnma4.

After porting the more complex cases - in particular those that
affect a module's API - we are left with straight-forward D-Bus
method calls that can be moved to promise-based wrappers in one
go.
For consistency, this also switches from Remote to Async where
the call result is ignored.

gjs improved its default property getter/setters, and as a result it
is no longer possible to set read-only properties.
Add proper getters (backed by private properties) to fix the resulting
errors.

The SignalQuality property is defined on the GDBusProxy, not the modem
JS object.
Fix this runtime warning:

Since ES5, trailing commas in arrays and object literals are valid.
We generally haven't used them so far, but they are actually a good
idea, as they make additions and removals in diffs much cleaner.
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/merge_requests/805
Use GObject based objects for ModemGsm, ModemCdma and BroadbandModem.
This allows to define a base class that we can use to natively define
properties and notify property changes.
We can now remove the "fake" notify signals with proper properties
notifications.

While we aren't using those destructured variables, they are still useful
to document the meaning of those elements. We don't want eslint to keep
warning about them though, so mark them accordingly.

Upon construction of the CDMA modem proxy, _reloadCdmaOperatorName()
is called and the value of the Sid property is read.
That property is defined as UINT32 in the D-Bus interface, but the
value may not be loaded yet after the proxy is constructed, in which
case its value will be null.
In _findProviderForSid(), we'll end up calling lookup_cdma_sid(null)
which fails with the following assertion:
gnome-shell[1082]: nma_mobile_providers_database_lookup_cdma_sid: assertion 'sid > 0' failed
This commit changes the (sid == 0) check in _findProviderForSid()
to (!sid) which will also catch the null case.

ES6 finally adds standard class syntax to the language, so we can
replace our custom Lang.Class framework with the new syntax. Any
classes that inherit from GObject will need special treatment,
so limit the port to regular javascript classes for now.
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/merge_requests/361
Any symbols (including class properties) that should be visible
outside the module it's defined in need to be defined as global.
For now gjs still allows the access for 'const', but get rid of
the warnings spill now by changing it.

This commit removes all the code in charge of playing with the database of
mobile providers, which was originally included in order to perform
MCCMNC->OperatorName and SID->OperatorName conversions.
This logic is now exposed by libnm-gtk.

ModemManager >= 0.7 comes with a new DBus interface. This patch makes the shell
work with the new interface if the modem is detected as being exposed by the new
ModemManager (based on the device.udi string reported by NM).
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=687359.
shell_mobile_providers_parse() was returning the country information split
into a hash table with providers and a hash table with country names. This
patch merges both outputs into a single per-country object, so the parse()
method now returns a GHashTable with the following element-type:
(element-type utf8 ShellCountryMobileProvider>)
This also avoids more complex setups like returning lists inside of hash tables,
which was actually breaking either g-i or gtk-doc.
shell_mobile_providers_parse() was also modified to allow inputting the paths
of the country codes and provider list files to use. If paths are not given, the
default ones will be used. This helps us to provide test files during unit
tests.
Both the findProviderForMCCMNC() and findProviderForSid() methods are exported
out of the GSM and CDMA specific classes, and new unit tests for them are
implemented. Tests can be run manually with:
$> ./tests/run-test.sh tests/unit/mobileProviders.js
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=687356.
Gsm.GetRegistrationInfo and Cdma.GetServingSystem return a single argument
consisting of a tuple, not three separate arguments. This is
a regression from the GDBus port.

The last patch in the sequence. Every place that was previously
setting prototype has been ported to Lang.Class, to make code more
concise and allow for better toString().
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=664436
This continues the series of patches for GDBus porting, affecting
all code that accesses remote DBus objects. This includes modemManager,
automount, autorun (for the hotplug sniffer), calendar, network (for
nm-applet only), power, scripting (for perf monitor interface)
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=648651
js2-mode is no longer developed and we recommend js-mode these days,
so switch the modelines to specify that, and make them consistent
across all files.
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=660358
Adds an implementation of nm-applet in javascript. Uses the new
introspection from NetworkManager, and temporarily requires
nm-applet to be running for the secret service.
Features a renewed interface, with each device controllable through
a switch, which if toggled off disconnects, and if toggled on
connects to the most recently used valid connection. More esoteric
features like creation of ad-hoc networks have been moved to the
control center panel.
