As with other parts, make objects have the ability to walk up the
ownership chain to the context, to get things like the Wayland
compositor or backend instances.
Contains these squashed commits:
display: Don't get backend from singleton
window: Don't get backend from singleton
keybindings: Don't get backend from singleton
workspace: Don't get backend from singleton
display: Don't get Wayland compositor from singleton
selection: Add display getter
context/main: Get backend directly from the context
clipboard-manager: Don't get display from singleton
stack-tracker: Don't use singleton MetaLater API
startup-notification: Hook up sequences and activations to display
This allows using context aware API directly.

To organize things a bit better, put the fields related to the placement
rule state in its own anonymous struct inside MetaWindow. While at it,
rename the somewhat oddly named variable that in practice means the
current relative window position.
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/merge_requests/705
A placement rule is always about placing a window relative to its
parent. In order to eventually place it against predicted future parent
positions, make the placement rule processing output relative
coordinates, having the caller deal with turning them into absolute.

The order and way include macros were structured was chaotic, with no
real common thread between files. Try to tidy up the mess with some
common scheme, to make things look less messy.
The method used for getting the current logical monitor (the monitor
where the pointer cursor is currently at) depends on the backend type,
so move that logic to the corresponding backends.
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=777732
It was just pointer to the actual list; having to synchronize a list of
logical monitors with the actual monitors managed by the backend is
unnecessary.
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=777732
In preparation for further refactorizations, rename the MetaMonitorInfo
struct to MetaLogicalMonitor. Eventually, part of MetaLogicalMonitor
will be split into a MetaMonitor type.

Add support for assigning a window a custom window placement rule used
for calculating the initial window position as well as defining how a
window is constrained.
The custom rule is a declarative rule which defines a set of parameters
which the placing algorithm and constrain algorithm uses for
calculating the position of a window. It is meant to be used to
implement positioning of menus and other popup windows created via
Wayland.
A custom placement rule replaces any other placement or constraint
rule.

When looking for space to place a new window, other non-minimized
windows on the same workspace should be taken into account. However
the current check does not work correctly when the placed window is
located on all workspaces, so handle that case explicitly.

For clarity, rename meta_window_get_outer_rect() to match terminology
we use elsewhere. The old function is left as a deprecated
compatibility wrapper.
Instead of passing around MetaFrameBorders, compute it when we need it.
This also allows us to know that we are using MetaFrameBorders only for windows
with frames (where it is meaningful) and not for frameless windows, which
can have custom borders which we need to interpret differently.
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=707194
There are extensive places in the code where we convert between the client
rectangle and the frame rectangle. Instead of manually doing it use
new helper functions on MetaWindow and the existing meta_window_get_outer_rect().
This fixes a number of bugs where the computation was being done incorrectly,
most of these bugs are with the recently added custom frame extents, but
some relate to invisible borders or even simply to confusion between the
window and frame rectangle.
Switch the placement code to place the frame rectangle rather
than the client window - this simplifies things considerably.

Similar to meta_screen_get_primary_monitor, this returns a monitor index.
The monitor that the pointer is on. The previous private implementation
has been renamed to meta_screen_get_current_monitor_info.

There were actually *two* MetaFrameGeometry structs: one in theme-private.h,
one in frame.h. The latter public struct was populated by a mix of (void*)
casting and int pointers, usually pulling directly from the data in the private
struct.
Remove the public struct, replace it with MetaFrameBorders and scrap all
the pointer hacks to populate it, instead relying on both structs being used
in common code.
This commit should be relatively straightforward, and it should not do any
tricky logic at all, just a sophisticated find and replace.

If mutter is going to be a "real" library, then it should install its
includes so that users can do
#include <meta/display.h>
rather than
#include <display.h>
So rename the includedir accordingly, move src/include to src/meta,
and fix up all internal references.
There were a handful of header files in src/include that were not
installed; this appears to have been part of a plan to keep core/,
ui/, and compositor/ from looking at each others' private includes,
but that wasn't really working anyway. So move all non-installed
headers back into core/ or ui/.

Remove --allow-unprefixed option to the scanner, and fix resulting
problems:
* theme.h and boxes.h are split into a main -header and a private
header that includes stuff that is not generally useful and
hard to introspect. Merge theme-parser.h into theme.h.
* meta_display_get_atom() and meta_window_get_window_type_atom()
are marked as (skip)
* Fix annotation: (element-type Strut) => (element-type Meta.Strut)

Don't include override-redirect windows in the list return by
meta_display_list_windows(), since we almost never want to handle
them when considering "all window" for the display. Add a separate
meta_display_list_all_windows() that includes override-redirect
windows.

Code:
All references in the code not related to themes, keybindings, or
GConf were changed from 'metacity' to 'mutter'. This includes, among other
things, strings, comments, the atoms used in the message protocol, and
the envvars used for debugging. The GConf schema file was reduced to
the 3 settings new to mutter.
The overall version was brought up to 2.27 to match current gnome.
Structure:
All files named '*metacity*' were renamed '*mutter*' with appropriate
changes in the automake system. Files removed are
doc/creating_themes, src/themes, doc/metacity-theme.dtd,
metacity.doap. These files will eventually end up in an external
gnome-wm-data module.
Installation location:
On the filesystem the mutter-plugindir was change from
$(libdir)/metacity/plugins/clutter to just $(libdir)/mutter/plugins.
The mutter-plugins.pc.in reflects these changes.
Note:
mutter.desktop.in and mutter-wm.desktop both continue to have
X-GNOME-WMSettingsModule=metacity set. This allows
gnome-control-center to continue using libmetacity.so for
configuration. This is fine since most the general keybindings and wm
settings are being read from /apps/metacity/* in gconf.
The metacity core is now directly aware of override redirect windows.
- They get MetaWindows like normal windows, so mutter no longer need to special
case them. The net wm types applicable to override redirects are also
recognised.
- The original positioning/stacking semantics of metacity with respect to OR
windows are maintained, but now it's easier to synchronize the stacking
between the core and mutter.
- mutter no longer needs to manualy track UnmapNotify, MapNotify,
ReparentNotify, CreateNotify and DestroyNotify events; instead map, unmap,
add and remove events can now be consistently delivered via the
MetaCompositor callbacks.
