We have been using type-safe comparisons in new code for quite a while
now, however old code has only been adapted slowly.
Change all the remaining bits to get rid of another legacy style
difference.

These traditionally got the various ClutterEvent subtype structs as their
argument, so it was not allowed to use ClutterEvent generic getter methods
in these vfuncs. These methods used direct access to struct fields instead.
This got spoiled with the move to make ClutterEvent opaque types, since
these are no longer public structs so GNOME Shell most silently failed to
fetch the expected values from event fields. But since they are not
ClutterEvents either, the getters could not be used on them.
Mutter is changing so that these vmethods all contain an alias to the
one and only Clutter.Event type, thus lifting those barriers, and making
it possible to use the ClutterEvent methods in these vfuncs.

If we only raise screenshot UI to top, ibusCandidatePopup can still
cover screenshot UI because each time ibusCandidatePopup updates it's
visibility it will raise it to top and this also happens if we open
screenshot UI via keybinding. This commit fixes it by only raising it
above keyboardBox, because keyboardBox is above all entries in modal
dialogs.

ibusCandidatePopup actually works as a top chrome because it always
raises itself above top_window_group when updating visibility, so just
initing it as a top chrome instead of initing it below top_window_group.

Right now, we don't pay much attention to visibility hints from IBus
about the candidates list for the OSK suggestions bar. Since some
IMs rely on this visibility being honored, do that.
To fix this, the visibility hints for the lookup table are now
propagated to the keyboard, so the Suggestions actor hides its
internal candidate buttons. Since the Suggestions actor gets its
minimum height from CSS, this does not result in OSK size jumps.

We have made good progress on object literals as well, although there
are still a lot that use the old style, given how ubiquitous object
literals are.
But the needed reindentation isn't overly intrusive, as changes are
limited to the object literals themselves (i.e. they don't affect
surrounding code).
And given that object literals account for quite a bit of the remaining
differences between regular and legacy rules, doing the transition now
is still worthwhile.

Since ES5, trailing commas in arrays and object literals are valid.
We generally haven't used them so far, but they are actually a good
idea, as they make additions and removals in diffs much cleaner.

Every since commit aa394754, StBoxLayout has supported ClutterActor's
expand/align properties in addition to the container-specific child
properties. Given that that's the only container left with a special
child meta, it's time to fully embrace the generic properties (and
eventually remove the child meta).

Remove the `this.actor = ...` and `this.actor._delegate = this` patterns in most
of classes, by inheriting all the actor container classes.
Uses interfaces when needed for making sure that multiple classes will implement
some required methods or to avoid redefining the same code multiple times.

We share this actor with other shell menus, which arguably track a different
"cursor" as we care of the caret/anchor text positions, and menus care about
pointer click coordinates.
Use a standalone actor for this, so popups/IM are entirely decoupled.

Those unused arguments aren't bugs - unbeknownst to eslint, they all
correspond to valid signal parameters - but they don't contribute
anything to clarity, so just remove them anyway.

While we have some style inconsistencies - mostly regarding split lines,
i.e. aligning to the first arguments vs. a four-space indent - there are
a couple of places where the spacing is simply wrong. Fix those.
Spotted by eslint.

We are currently inconsistent with whether or not to put a space
after catch clauses. While the predominant style is to omit it,
that's inconsistent with the style we use for any other statement.
There's not really a good reason to stick with it, so switch to
the style gjs/eslint default to.

Most often it is a bug if the condition part of a for-loop contains the
assignment operator rather than the comparison one, so tools rightfully
emit a warning.
Clarify that the assignment is intentional in this case by adding
parentheses.

ES6 finally adds standard class syntax to the language, so we can
replace our custom Lang.Class framework with the new syntax. Any
classes that inherit from GObject will need special treatment,
so limit the port to regular javascript classes for now.

Pretty much like dd4709bb2, BoxPointer's show() and hide()
functions will clash with Clutter.Actor's ones.
In addition to that, on a conceptual level, the current API
is not great, because calling boxPointer.hide() won't result
in boxPointer.actor.visible == false.
For these reasons, rename show() and hide() to open() and
close(). A compatibility layer will be added in a following
commit, warning about the usage of show() and hide().

Any symbols (including class properties) that should be visible
outside the module it's defined in need to be defined as global.
For now gjs still allows the access for 'const', but get rid of
the warnings spill now by changing it.

Only recent IBus versions have support for this signal
which is used for wayland clients. In order to work
with older IBus versions we can silently ignore the
signal's absence.
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=753476
IBus now provides a new method for cursor positioning where the
coordinates are relative to the focused window. This is useful for
wayland clients which don't have access to their global coordinates.
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=753476
Right now we have three "dummy cursor" widgets between the background
menu, the message tray menu, and the IBus candidate popup. Consolidate
these into one "dummy cursor" widget which is tracked in the layout
manager.
After moving the dummy source actor, we still have to poke the
boxpointer so that it gets repositioned.
This has always been broken but went unnoticed until now since none of
the commonly used engines currently depend on this method. Thanks to
Mathieu Bridon for pointing it out.
