Florian Müllner d0910da036 Port preferences to GSettings ...

Move preferences to GSettings, using mainly shared schemas from
gsettings-desktop-schemas.

Unlike GConf, GSettings support is not optional, as Gio is already
a hard dependency of GTK+.
