6654053250 clutter/paint-nodes: Make ClutterLayerNode always push/pop
ClutterLayerNode currently skips pushing the offscreen framebuffer when
no operations are set. This was added at the time because pushing and
popping was a synchronization point in Cogl, slow enough to force the
layer node to have this protective measure. Nowadays, pushing and
popping on the paint context is free.

Make ClutterLayerNode always push and pop in pre and post paint.

15f5087135 Introduce ClutterBlurNode
ClutterBlurNode is a paint node based on ClutterLayerNode
that draws all children in an offscreen framebuffer, blurs
this framebuffer, and finally paints the blurred contents
according the the paint operations added.

3a3eaf5ad3 clutter/paint-nodes: Fix blit node oversights
Copy-paste error sneaked ClutterTransformNodeClass in
clutter_blit_node_class_init(). It wasn't problematic
because they both typedef to ClutterPaintNodeClass, but
fix it anyway.

Also switch to g_object_ref() in clutter_blit_node_new().

033423f6db Introduce ClutterBlitNode
It is not possible to express a blit operation using paint
nodes as of now. This is a requirement for GNOME Shell, e.g.,
to implement its blur effect.

Add a new ClutterBlitNode node that takes two framebuffers as
input, and blits the source framebuffer into the current one
according to added rectangles.

Because this paint node uses the rectangles in a different way
compared to all the other nodes, add an auxiliary method to
ensure all blit operations are valid.

63ea2dacc4 clutter/paint-nodes: Add new ClutterLayerNode API
ClutterLayerNode is the "offscreen framebuffer" node, that paints it's
child nodes in a separate framebuffer, and then copies that framebuffer
to the parent one.

It'll be useful to hand ClutterLayerNode which framebuffer and pipeline
to use, as this is a requirement for porting e.g. ClutterOffscreenEffect
and subclasses.

Add a new clutter_layer_node_new_to_framebuffer() API.

89f9be0dd1 clutter/paint-nodes: Add opacity overriding to ClutterActorNode
Some effects, such as ShellBlurEffect and ClutterOffscreenEffect, need
to make sure the actor is painted fully opaque. With ClutterActorNode,
however, that is currently not possible.

Add a new 'opacity' parameter to clutter_actor_node_new(). It follows
the opacity override heuristic, where -1 means disable, and anything
else is clamped to [0, 255].

e45d1c6ea6 Introduce ClutterEffectNode
ClutterEffectNode is a private ClutterPaintNode implementation
that does effectively nothing, but helps organizing the paint
node tree. It also helps debugging, since it can output the
effect class and name to the JSON debugging routines.

eb14da3874 cogl: Turn CoglFramebuffer, CoglOffscreen and CoglOnscreen into GObjects
A first step towards abandoning the CoglObject type system: convert
CoglFramebuffer, CoglOffscreen and CoglOnscreen into GObjects.
CoglFramebuffer is turned into an abstract GObject, while the two others
are currently final. The "winsys" and "platform" are still sprinkled
'void *' in the the non-abstract type instances however.

f6500042f1 clutter/paint-nodes: Don't skip pipeline node constructor
ClutterPipelineNode will be used by GNOME Shell in the future.
Fortunately for us, CoglPipeline is already usable from GJS,
so we don't need to skip the constructor for the pipeline node.

3e0c961b76 Replace the CoglMatrix type by graphene_matrix_t
CoglMatrix already is a typedef to graphene_matrix_t. This commit
simply drops the CoglMatrix type, and align parameters. There is
no functional change here, it's simply a find-and-replace commit.

31a3b1b4c5 clutter: Include semi private cogl API
Used by mutter, but we'll need it in clutter too. This commit is to
silence type warnings that were otherwise avoided by disabling compile

fd0ce66ac1 clutter/paint-nodes: Stop using implicit framebuffer stack Cogl API
Stop using API that uses the implicit Cogl framebuffer stack, (e.g.
cogl_push_matrix()) and replace usage by the corresponding API taking an
explicit framebuffer (e.g. cogl_framebuffer_push_matrix()).

For offscreens etc, the offscreen framebuffer is still pushed to and
popped from the Cogl framebuffer stack, so that paint nodes still draw
to the right framebuffer.

f11170fecb clutter/paint-node: Have caller of .._get_framebuffer() handle fallback
clutter_paint_node_get_framebuffer() fell back on
cogl_get_draw_framebuffer() when the root node didn't have a custom
get_framebuffer vfunc. As this relies on deprecated implicit Cogl stack
API, it needs to go away, so handle this in the caller that knows more
about the context.

78a7c93802 clutter: Use paint context to get paint target framebuffer
Instead of using the intermediate stage state "active framebuffer" to
find the framebuffer a paint eventually targets, use the "base
framebuffer" of the paint context, as this more correctly corresponds to
the end point of a paint. It also means we can then later remove this
intermediate state from the stage.

49c8d42317 clutter: Introduce paint contexts
When painting, actors rely on semi global state tracked by the state to
get various things needed for painting, such as the current draw
framebuffer. Having state hidden in such ways can be very deceiving as
it's hard to follow changes spread out, and adding more and more state
that should be tracked during a paint gets annoying as they will not
change in isolation but one by one in their own places. To do this
better, introduce a paint context that is passed along in paint calls
that contains the necessary state needed during painting.

The paint context implements a framebuffer stack just as Cogl works,
which is currently needed for offscreen rendering used by clutter.

The same context is passed around for paint nodes, contents and effects
as well.

In this commit, the context is only introduced, but not used. It aims to
replace the Cogl framebuffer stack, and will allow actors to know what
view it is currently painted on.

Now that we unconditionally use ClutterActorNode to
paint ClutterActors, move the PAINT private flag to
the ClutterActorNode. This way, we can run the paint
on the actor anywhere inside the paint tree.

ebf9ac091d clutter/paint-nodes: Introduce ClutterActorNode
ClutterActorNode is a paint node that runs the 'paint'
function of an actor. It is a useful helper node to be
used during the transition to paint nodes.

The role of ClutterActorNode will change over time. For
now, it is just a call to clutter_actor_continue_paint(),
which also paints the effects. When ClutterEffect is
ported to paint nodes, ClutterActorNode will morph to
only notify the actor about the painting, and will become
a private node to Clutter.

317414ab26 clutter/paint-nodes: Push/pop framebuffer
Unfortunately, many parts of GNOME Shell and Mutter and Clutter
still use the implicit Cogl1 API. As such, it as a transition
between the old and new APIs, it is important to keep the
implicit draw framebuffer updated.

ClutterRootNode does not keep it updated though, and it might
lead to problems when rendering offscreen textures.

Fix that by pushing and popping the root node framebuffer on
pre- and post-draw, respectively.

The ClutterRootNode paint node is theoretically the
top-most node of a paint nodes tree, except that we
are not in the point of having full rendering trees
in Clutter (all rendering performed by paint nodes
is still local and immediate).

When controlling the rendering tree, MetaShapedTexture
may need to paint into an offscreen framebuffer under
some circumstations.

Expose ClutterRootNode so that MetaShapedTexture can
use it to render to offscreen framebuffers.

d8c7583922 clutter/paint-node: Add multitexture API
The multitexture API is not a shortcut for multiple calls
to the single texture API. It is meant to wrap calls to
cogl_framebuffer_draw_multitexture_rectangle(), which
uses the passed texture coordinates at different layers of
the pipeline.

d62d780a95 Remove cogl-1.0 vs cogl-2.0 vs cogl experimental API split
Mutter (and libmutter users) are the only users of this version of
cogl, and will more or less only use the cogl-1.0, cogl-2.0 and cogl
experimental API variants, and having the possibility of having
different API versions of the same API depending on what file includes
it is error prone and confusing. Lets just remove the possibility of
having different versions of the same API.

In cogl use cogl-config.h and in clutter use clutter-build-config.h. We
can't use clutter-config.h in clutter because its already used and
installed.
