Certain crossing modes notify about synthesized events, where
the pointer didn't really leave the window. Unsetting the stage
from the device at that time is incorrect, and will leave all
remaining touches unable to pick coordinates, so silently eaten
away.

Straight from Cogl.
This allows us to propagate the GdkVisual Cogl and Clutter use to
embedding toolkits, like GTK+.
The function is annotated as being added to the 1.22 development
cycle because it will be backported to the stable branch, so that
downstream developers can package up a version of Clutter that does
not crash on nVidia.

GDK 3.16 started selecting different visuals, to best comply with the
requirements for OpenGL, and this has broken Clutter on GLX drivers that
are fairly picky in how they select visuals and GLXFBConfig.
GDK selects GLXFBConfig that do not include depth or stencil buffers;
Cogl, on the other hand, needs both depth and stencil buffers, and keeps
selecting the first available visual, assuming that the GLX driver will
give us the best compliant one, as per specification. Sadly, some
drivers will return incompatible configurations, and then bomb out when
you try to embed Clutter inside GTK+, because of mismatched visuals.
Cogl has an old, deprecated, Clutter-only API that allows us to retrieve
the XVisualInfo mapping to the GLXFBConfig it uses; this means we should
look up the GdkVisual for it when creating our own GdkWindows, instead
of relying on the RGBA and system GdkVisuals exposed by GDK — at least
on X11.

Initialize variables; GCC does not always catch all cases where the
variables are used after being initialized, especially when it comes to
out parameters.
According to the xdg-shell protocol specification the (x, y) coordinates
passed when creating a popup surface is relative to top left corner of
the parent surface, but prior to this patch, if the parent surface was
a xdg_surface, it'd position it relative to top left corner of the
window geometry of that xdg_surface.

Instead of selecting the first drm mode as the preferred mode, select the
first drm mode marked as preferred. If there are no modes marked as
preferred, revert to the old behaviour and select the first mode.

Read the drm layout properties suggested_X, suggested_Y and
hotplug_mode_update and transfer them to the meta layer.

In order to do device matching we need to propagate more information,
like the device_id (only on X11 with the XInput2 extension enabled),
the vendor id, and the product id.

The monitors info structure is created from the tiled outputs
and this is used as the central storage for info about a monitor
as opposed to the output state.
It appears at least the EDID mm w/h is for the whole monitor and
not per tile.
this just adds backend support for retrieving the tile
information from X11 (randr 1.5) and native backends.
It stores the tiling information into the output struct.
When DnD is started from an X11 client, mutter now sets up an special
grab that 1) Ensures the drag source keeps receiving events, and 2)
Moves an internal X Window over wayland clients as soon as the pointer
enters over these.
That window will act as the X-side peer for the currently focused
wayland client, and will transform XdndEnter/Position/Leave/Drop
messages into wayland actions. If DnD happens between X11 clients,
the window will be moved away and unmapped, to let these operate as
usual.

X11 client windows now hook a X11-specific MetaWaylandDragDestFuncs
that converts these into Xdnd* messages, and an additional selection
bridge has been added to take care of XdndSelection, and the data
transfers done through it.

This will be useful in order to interact with drag dest surfaces in
its windowing-specific ways, although everything defaults to the
wayland vfuncs.
