Performance testing was producing inconsistent values at different
times in the day since the GNOME default background is animated and
sometimes has a single layer, and sometimes two blended layers.
So we have consistent numbers, install a simple animated background
with GNOME Shell that has 40-year long transition ending in 2030,a
and set an environment variable in gnome-shell-perf-tool so that the
background is override with that background. (The background depends
on files installed by gnome-backgrounds; we assume that the person
running performance tests is doing so within the scope of a full
GNOME install.)

Add a small DBus-activated GtkApplication that embeds a WebKitWebView
and implements some minimal logic to see if the login succeeds.
It will try to connect to a custom NM-provided url (the portal login
page), if one exists, or to www.gnome.org in the normal case of
a portal doing redirect.

Until now the arrows were the associated arrow
character of the font. This cause some problems like
different arrows for different fonts, and size can be
altered because of the font size.
To solve that, use an image for the arrows.

It's been broken for quite a bit since we removed Panel.Animation,
and hasn't really ever worked with our new search results. It's also
the only non-remote provider left.
Maybe we'll add it back as a remote provider later, but for now, just

Until now we had the same svg for hover, active and checked
states in the pagination indicators. Just differentiate between
them using differents svg.

The original design for the overview had buttons for searching for

are the default activations, meaning that using the overview as a

Right now, we are hard-depending on the presence of Evolution by
using its settings schemas. This is likely to be unpopular, and
also causes instability if someone happens not to have Evolution
installed, so install a schema that has the same data path as
the Evolution schema, but a different name and install that
for the keys we need.
To avoid a string-freeze break, we rely on the translations in
Evolution - if Evolution isn't installed, the key descriptions
will be untranslated in dconf-editor.

A new tool, 'gnome-shell-extension-prefs' can load a new entry point from
extensions, 'prefs.js', which has an entry point to return a GTK+ widget.
This allows extensions to have their own preferences dialog, without each

Make summary sources look more clickable and highlight them when selected.
