988a0e7314 Adapt to painting and picking API change
While still leaving them unused, pass around ClutterPaintContext and
ClutterPickContext when painting and picking.

The reason for splitting this change up in two is to make it possible to
bisect easier in between the API change and the change to using the
framebuffer passed around with the temporary contexts.

8f3554ff3e st: Use g_object_notify_by_pspec()
`g_object_notify()` actually takes a global lock to look up the property
by its name, which means there is a performance hit (albeit tiny) every
time this function is called. For this reason, always try to use
`g_object_notify_by_pspec()` instead.

28ab1f4af4 Ensure G_PARAM_STATIC_STRINGS for all properties
In `st`, we can do this by using `ST_PARAM_*`. In the other code files,
just use `G_PARAM_STATIC_STRINGS` directly.

This is just a minor convenience to prevent a few unnecessary string
copies.

6bc3300e5a st-scroll-view-fade: Include outer bound of pixel on border
The fade shader will draw the fade effect up until the border pixel. If
we set the bottom right coordinate to the outer edge of the pixel we
might end up not drawing the fade effect on all of the pixels. This
could for example happen if one logical pixel (clutter stage pixel)
consists of more than one physical pixel.

7c4e43c84f Remove deprecated CoglHandle
Prefer something a bit more type-safe instead and in the meantime use
the newly available `cogl_clear_object` to simplify some code a bit.

st: Remove deprecated cogl_texture_new()
cogl_texture_new() is used in a few places in GNOME Shell, but
it's a deprecated Cogl function. The replacement is the less
verbose cogl_texture_2d_new_with_size(), that is very much a
straightforward replacement.

Remove the few places where this function is used, replacing
it by the CoglTexture2d counterpart.

ffe4eaf00d st: Use G_DECLARE_*_TYPE
Cut down on boilerplate by using the (no longer that) new helper
macros. We don't care about breaking ABI in private libraries, so
use G_DECLARE_FINAL_TYPE even where the class struct used to be
exposed in the header, except for types we inherit from ourselves
(obviously) or where the class exposes any vfuncs (where changes
could affect inheritance in extensions).

c23786c73e St: Fix fade effect
Commit 4095a58eb9 introduced a
regression, since we have to take into account four cases,
top, bottom, right, and left, and that can't be merged into
two like that commit did.
So fix it to make fade effect works again.

4095a58eb9 st-scroll-view-fade: Reduce number of GLSL uniforms and instructions
The vvalue and hvalue uniforms are only used to decide whether we
should do fade the edges or not based on the fade_edges uniform.
The result does not change accross fragments so there is no reason
to recompute it for every fragment (pixel) so just split the edge
fade into two uniforms and compute the "should we fade the edges"
boolean once for every direction (when setting the uniforms) instead
of for every single fragment twice.

This reduces the number of uniforms as well as the the number of instructions
which are limited on older hardware. It should also be more efficent.

5c439f4e9c scroll-view-fade: Do the offset math in the shader
This doesn't (or shouldn't) change the visual appearance of the fade
effect, but does do all the testing math inside the shader, rather
than on the CPU. This will make fading the offset much easier in
the future.

09fe12d0c1 st-scroll-view-fade: Pass a precomputed fade area to the shader
Instead of doing complex computations in the shader just pass in the correct
fade area (taking padding, scrollbars and rtl into account) and just work
with that in the shader.

That fixes a bug where we would fade the scrollbar when padding is present.

43cf60f563 StScrollViewFade: Fix GLSL shader to work on r300 hardware
The number instructions in a shader is limited to 64 on r300 hardware,
the fade shader in StScrollViewFade was ending up using 97 instructions
which is way over the limit.

So refactor the shader to use less instructions by precomputing as many
values as possible outside of the conditionals. The resulting shader
ends up using 34 instructions which is well within the hardware limits.
